2017: A Year of Books

Books

If you follow the Gray Asparagus on Instagram you have probably picked up on a bit about my personality and what I love.

There you will find pictures of cats, my succulent collection, and of course books.

I have been trying to determine how to incorporate more of my passions into this blog.

About a year or so ago, I started posting to Instagram a few of the books I was reading. I kept it up as a way for me to remember what I read. This year I decided I wanted to keep a complete list for myself, mostly because I am curious as to how many books I actually finish over the course of a year.

2017 Book List

Then it dawned on me, I should create a place on the blog where not only I can catalog all that I read, but that you can reference if you need a recommendation. Whether you are going on vacation or just need a good book to get lost in- you will be able to come to theGrayAsparagus.com and find inspiration!

With that said, the new section: A Year of Books has officially been introduced!

While I am not reviewing books for now- I may decide to do so at a later date- we will just have to see how this section evolves.

If you are a book lover like me, check back often as I will be updating the list as I finish reading. Feel free to share with other friends who also love to read!

I hope you enjoy A Year of Books- it can be found in the drop down menu (mobile) or on the menu bar (laptop, PC).

  1. Are you on GoodReads? It’s another great way to see what people you know are reading, have read, and want to read. I’m pretty addicted.

  2. The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern. Different story and so descriptive I felt like I was watching a movie in my head. I did hear it’s going to be made into a movie so read it now!

    1. Sharon, I am so glad you said this. I actually have the book and was debating taking it on vacation- just didn’t know if it would be good and I hate taking a boring book on a trip! Will definitely take it now!!

  3. It’s not a new book by any means, but have you read “Jane Eyre” by Charlotte Bronte? I’ve read it several times and it’s such a beautiful book that I always recommend it. 🙂
