Often I will run across a Poshmark username and it just looks soooo familiar. I hate when I cannot remember why! Then all these scenarios run through my head…
Did they make a crazy offer before?
Did this person buy a huge bundle?
Wait, they gave me a host pick didn’t they?
If you have been selling on Poshmark for a while OR if you have a horrible memory like myself… this is for you!
I am going to share with you my way of never forgetting a Poshmark customer again!
Some of you may already do this and a few of you may slap your forehead because the solution is so simple!
I used to do things the hard way.
I tried to keep a spreadsheet of the usernames of customers. This way I could search the spreadsheet and if they had purchased before I could thank them for coming back and add other personal touches to the thank you note. However, this quickly became too overwhelming, I could not keep it current.
As you probably know, searching previous sales within the app is virtually impossible. Especially when you have been selling for 3 years or (more for some of you).
So what can you do?
Here is a quick guide to never forgetting a Poshmark customer again!
1. SEPARATE EMAIL ADDRESS. You should have an email address specifically for Poshmark emails. It makes things so much easier! Create a new email just for Poshmark correspondence. You can update your email address by going into your in-app dashboard and select “my profile”. There you will see your current email and you can change it.
2. SET YOUR EMAIL NOTIFICATIONS. Make sure that you are receiving Poshmark emails. In the same dashboard go to “Notifications” and select which emails you want to receive. I receive “Announcements”, “Daily Emails”, and “Seller Price Drops”. You can set your account to receive more or less as you wish. You will of course automatically get emails when you receive an offer or make a sale.
3. DO NOT DELETE. Never deleted your emails.
4. SEARCH. From here on out you will have emails for sales, offers, etc. The username of the other Posher (who purchased or made an offer) is typically in the subject line of the emails. All you have to do is put the Username in the search and it will bring up your interactions! It won’t show comments (unless you have it set to receive email alerts for new comments).
So now you can always have an easy reference for repeat customers or if you want to reference previous sales! Easy as that!!
