The Review Listings Feature on Poshmark

Review Listings Feature on Poshmark

Some people are rule followers, some people are not. Like some of you, when I signed up to sell on Poshmark, I read every single bit of the terms and conditions. I wanted to make sure I was doing things correctly and I also wanted to know what Poshmark would be responsible for. I’m not sure what part of my personality causes me to read the fine print… but it’s how I am.

I know a lot of Poshmark users are very passionate about the rules. I am a big fan about personally following the rules but am not too concerned about other people’s business. That doesn’t mean I don’t find the new feature fascinating!

What am I talking about?

The new Review Listings Feature on Poshmark allows users to pitch in and help monitor potential rule violations.

Are You a Poshmark Seller Stylist?

Poshmark Seller Stylist

The new Poshmark Dressing Room feature got me thinking about the features that have been added over the past couple of years. Also, the constant reference to sellers as “Stylists”. Which makes me wonder… are YOU a Poshmark Seller Stylist? Am I?

The answer for me is simple. No, I am not.

I don’t connect with that term.

I will get back to that in a minute.

First, let’s discuss the connect between the Dressing Room and being a Poshmark Seller Stylist.

The Poshmark Dressing Room

Poshmark Dressing Room

For this first time, the PMHQ ladies hosted a webinar especially for Suggested Users! It was a quick 20 minute presentation this past weekend about the latest feature coming our way on Poshmark.

The POSHMARK DRESSING ROOM

Makes no sense right? It’s ONLINE… how can you try on clothes?

Well, you can’t. It’s not about trying on clothes.

Yeah, it took me like the entire 20 minutes to stop scratching my head.

I held off posting about this until it went live. Now it’s here.

Change of Plans

Poshmark Change of Plans

An important characteristic of a successful business owner is the ability to change and adapt with the markets trends. One part of that is actually being able to recognize when something isn’t working. This can lead to a change of plans and altering your strategy.

This applies to online sellers, regardless of your preferred selling platform. You have to be cognizant of the changes and know how to make them work to your advantage. A growing company like Poshmark is an example of a company that is constantly evolving and changing. Whatever your winning strategy was last year probably isn’t cutting it this year.

Case in point, I know tons of Poshmark sellers who no longer do aggressive markdowns during “Closet Clear Out” as perhaps they once did. Why? Well, while some sellers are still finding success with marking down items because buyers are motivated to purchase with discounted shipping… personally, I am not finding it beneficial for my closet.

Poshmark’s New Listing Feature

Poshmark's New Listing Feature

I don’t post about every single new feature, mostly because they are coming out so rapid fire it would be hard to keep up!

With that said, I really am only going to post about the ones that excite me.

Here are just a few that have just been released or are on the way:

  • Dragging photos to change the order of them
  • 8 photos instead of 4 within a listing
  • Higher resolution photos
  • Account Change Verifier in Poshmark Support center for security
  • Upcoming- offer enhancements that give you more options

If you haven’t updated your APP go ahead and do it and if you don’t have the new features- keep checking back!

So, what am I really excited about?

Suggested Updates to the Suggested User Program

One of the most coveted statuses to achieve on Poshmark is becoming a Suggested User, or what most refer to as being an SU.

Here is a quick recap for those who are new users to the app:

Basics of the Suggested User Program

  • Suggested User status is given to sellers who are outstanding Poshers in the community. These users (theoretically) follow the guidelines in what they sell in their closet and how they conduct their business. That is the program in a very small concise nutshell but you can read my full commentary on the subject in this article The Real Deal: Becoming and Being a Suggested User.

The benefits are huge. If you don’t already know, having people follow your closet is key to making sales. Yes, you can have tons of sales with just a few followers, but the more you have obviously gives you more exposure.

Here are a few benefits if you are wondering if it’s worth it:
