Of course you can’t rely on calendar dates like the first official day of summer or follow traditional Labor Day outfitting rules. By the time the season has officially changed, most shoppers have already made their big seasonal purchases. I see this shopper every year… she just bought a fabulous pair of boots, a plaid scarf, and the perfect heavy leather fall bag. She is so excited about her purchase and can’t wait to wear it on her next outing and its 80 degrees out.
When switching out seasonal clothing on Poshmark, I follow one simple rule in my closet…
I have been a disorganized mess my entire life. However, I do want to discuss how to organize your Poshmark closet because it is one of the greatest achievements of my life. Maybe… not really, but I do work hard at it.
My current and ever evolving system has developed over the past 2 years. I have some challenging elements as most of us do… I live in a condo that does not have storage space. No generous closets or extra rooms here!
While my system is pretty basic and tucked out of sight in a stingy closet, it has proven effective for me and has relieved so many stresses that come from selling things online. I am finally in control and my “inventory” feels like less of an annoying roommate. Big achievement for a self- proclaimed mess.
We are all searching for the secret to more Poshmark sales, and the title of this post should probably have a big ol’ question mark at the end of it. If you have been reading this blog for any length of time you will note that my opinions evolve and change while on my quest to figure it out. Sometimes I think I find a new strategy and sometimes I revert back to the basics of sharing and following.

Every time I hear someone say “Sales are so slow!” I will also see a photo on Instagram of someone’s sky-high stack of packages going to the post office.
What are these two people doing that is so drastically different?
These photos of enormous shipments certainly motivate some people, but others (like ME, if you want total honesty) it just makes them want to throw up their hands and find a new hobby. Like knitting.
Obviously there are a million factors that go into why you are experiencing slow or high volume sales. But is there a way to set realistic expectations of how much you should or could be selling?
