The Review Listings Feature on Poshmark

Review Listings Feature on Poshmark

Some people are rule followers, some people are not. Like some of you, when I signed up to sell on Poshmark, I read every single bit of the terms and conditions. I wanted to make sure I was doing things correctly and I also wanted to know what Poshmark would be responsible for. I’m not sure what part of my personality causes me to read the fine print… but it’s how I am.

I know a lot of Poshmark users are very passionate about the rules. I am a big fan about personally following the rules but am not too concerned about other people’s business. That doesn’t mean I don’t find the new feature fascinating!

What am I talking about?

The new Review Listings Feature on Poshmark allows users to pitch in and help monitor potential rule violations.

Packing and Shipping your Poshmark Sales

Poshmark Shipping Tips

I have never been a cutesy girl.

I do not wear the color pink, I HATE glitter, and the idea of sitting around with friends painting our nails makes me want to gag.

So what the heck does this have to do with Poshmark shipping?

Well, I have done my share of shopping on Poshmark and the fabulous packaging I have encountered has been quite intimidating! If you are like me and “cute” does not come naturally, it can be a bit overwhelming! The adorable¬† wrapping paper- thank you cards- burlap bows- gingham accents- charms- the beautiful handwriting- and the FREE GIFTS!

I will never live up to this pinterest inspired standard!

If you started to have a panic attack just thinking about it- this post is for you!

Let’s talk about packaging and shipping!

Suggested Updates to the Suggested User Program

One of the most coveted statuses to achieve on Poshmark is becoming a Suggested User, or what most refer to as being an SU.

Here is a quick recap for those who are new users to the app:

Basics of the Suggested User Program

  • Suggested User status is given to sellers who are outstanding Poshers in the community. These users (theoretically) follow the guidelines in what they sell in their closet and how they conduct their business. That is the program in a very small concise nutshell but you can read my full commentary on the subject in this article The Real Deal: Becoming and Being a Suggested User.

The benefits are huge. If you don’t already know, having people follow your closet is key to making sales. Yes, you can have tons of sales with just a few followers, but the more you have obviously gives you more exposure.

Here are a few benefits if you are wondering if it’s worth it:

Poshmark: A Family Affair

Please note, all opinions expressed are solely my own. I have no insider knowledge nor claim to…

I am just a seller on Poshmark.

If you watch any large online company you will see it dramatically change as it evolves with its users, whether it is a marketplace or social media. Take Facebook or even eBay… if you were there in the beginning you will recall the huge changes and developments over the years.

Of course our beloved selling platform POSHMARK will evolve and change.

But why does this bother us?

Is there a just cause for concern?

Or are we afraid of competition or having to adjust our carefully plotted strategies?

If you have been offline or on vacation the past week you may have missed the slow trickle of information leaked out from PMHQ. Almost two weeks ago they sent an announcement to Suggested Users that Poshmark will now be allowing men’s and children’s clothing at some point this summer.

Honestly, this is old news…

Remember we discussed this here?

Also, as several poshers have informed me, this was announced to be in the works way back at PoshFest 2015.

Now you can read the terms and conditions inside your app and see it plain as day. It’s coming…

Think Like a Store Owner

This post is to discuss how to think like a Store Owner in regards to customer service. If you sell on Poshmark, you are a Store Owner! You are responsible for your inventory, presentation, as well as customer service. Not only that, you are also the head of operations and accounting. I would say that most people take their closet/store very seriously. With that said, it’s all too easy to take things personally as well!

There are a variety of reasons that bring users to Poshmark and why it’s so personal to us. Some have dreams of running their own boutique one day while some simply started to clean out their real closet. The addiction can be gradual, those who were just cleaning up have found themselves keeping their Poshmark Closet full of their shopping treasures. There are Poshers who have made a business out of their closets and have quit their full-time jobs to run their online store. Whatever the reason, something draws us in to the virtual world of Poshmark.

Here is a little background about me… the Gray Asparagus.

Thinking big picture… about the Rules.

Before I even open my mouth please know… this is MY OPINION.

I promise that I am not leaking super secret information. I’m thinking big picture here and throwing out a bunch of “Maybes” and “What Ifs.”

I have been thinking a lot about the Poshmark “rules.”

I’m not speaking about the fundamentally wrong ones like taking transactions off the app or selling replicas… but some of the other item restrictions.

In the almost 2 years I have been a part of the Poshmark Community there have been a few items that were once taboo but are now allowed.
