We all want more Poshmark sales. Including myself. While I am a self-proclaimed “part-time Posher”, recently I have decided I want more. I am tired of being complacent. For the past two months I have been focusing on what I KNOW I should be doing. As I made my game plan and charted out my course of action, I began to believe that perhaps we tend to overthink our Poshmark strategies. What do I mean by that? I am beginning to think it’s a little more simplistic. Yes, there are tons of features and layers that have been added over the years that can fine tune your sales tactics and get you major results. However, I am now of the belief that the best tactics to full throttle your Poshmark closet are quite basic.
While this post will present strategy we have discussed before, I am going to explain what I feel are the two major factors to getting your closet in a position to make sales and get your closet charged up and into a full throttle mode.

I have a few thoughts on the Stylist Match Feature on Poshmark. In case you haven’t noticed, Poshmark is making a huge deal about the launch. Why? Probably because it’s a huge deal.
There has to be something behind it all, right?
But as with every new feature, there will be lovers and haters. Let’s look back:
It’s 5:30 am on the East Coast. I am awake and sharing my Poshmark Closet. Some might say sharing your Poshmark closet this early is a waste of time because the majority of Poshmark users are not awake let alone shopping their feed (it’s 2:30 on the West Coast!!). But this is all part of my strategy which I will explain in just a few. This also ties in to one of the MOST asked questions…

If you have never been asked this before, you probably have been the one asking. I have been on both sides.
I would love to do research and figure out which gives you the best ROI (return on investment) but there are simply too many factors involved. Factors such as:
- Amount of followers of person sharing
- Time of day/ Time zone
- Appeal of listings (photo quality, item desirability)
… and about a million other little factors, including the elusive algorithm.
I firmly believe that sharing your Poshmark closet and sharing others both hold significant importance.

I mentioned in yesterday that it was moved and apparently I wasn’t the only Posher who noticed! While it never totally went away… it was just in a place that wasn’t helping anybody out. I saw so much on social media (Instagram) regarding the disappearance. The great news is that Poshmark listened and immediately put it back. I think it shows that YES they do listen and YES they care about user opinions.
If you are clueless as to what I am talking about … and of course “tough 24 hours” is said tongue-in-cheek, then I will explain about this quicker sharing technique that so many of us use. It’s different for android users but this is how it works on an iPhone or iPad…

Sharing makes the Poshmark world go ’round!
Love it or hate it- it is part of what keeps Poshmark from being just another online retailer. It allows us to see listings we wouldn’t normally see, helps us make sales we may not otherwise have, AND it connects us to each other. I am willing to bet that you probably first stumbled across a PFF or two because of a share.
Sure, we could go back and forth about the different ways to share and what gives you the highest ROI (return on investment).

Let’s be honest.
How many of you have had a slow month selling?
I am not afraid to say it…
I haven’t had a sale in over a week.
Before you roll your eyes, NO, this isn’t the first time I have had a lull in sales.
You can have the cutest listings, with the most popular name brands, mark it all down to $5.00 and STILL not have a sales… it happens.
But this month of June has been pretty tough… I am not the only one who has been experiencing this based on how many comments, DMs, and texts I have received asking for advice!
However, I do need to go ahead and admit that Poshing has not been my #1 priority. It can’t always be… right?
If you aren’t interested in reading yet another person’s manifesto about the importance of sharing… I don’t blame you.
From the moment you sign up on Poshmark, the term and “importance” of the action is shoved down your throat.
Sometimes I view sharing like I viewed Lentil Stew as a child… I know it’s supposed to be good for me but I just can’t stomach it anymore.
Let’s face the facts though, out of all of the currently popular selling platforms, none offer such a straightforward opportunity to get your listings out there. From what I have observed, to get attention on the other popular platforms it is advised to constantly list new items, utilize hashtags, and participate in forums (among others). All are well and good, but Poshmark offers an easier way… to Share.
So you have downloaded the Poshmark App … now what?
This is a question that seasoned Poshmark users get asked daily… with good reason! It can be overwhelming and downright confusing! I had a friend who introduced me to Poshmark and the basics on how it works… I think I stared at the app for a week before listing something. After reading everything I could about it and all the fine print, I gave it a shot.
Then, eventually, I had a couple of super friendly users take me under their wing and answer questions along the way.
The rest was trial and error. As you read my blog posts you will find they are mostly tales of mistakes I have made and lessons I have learned.
Here is a quick and simple 5 step guide for your first 7 days…
I hope you read the guidelines in the menu portion of the app. I know, the fine print isn’t the most fun to read, but DO IT. You need to know the rules, trust me.
